How information is handled
This page describes what information is collected through this site and the independent research survey, and how it is used.
Research survey
The survey does not request or require your name, email address, or business name. Participation is entirely anonymous.
Survey responses are stored in a database used for this research and are accessible only to authorized individuals responsible for managing the research. Responses are analyzed in aggregate to identify patterns and themes. Individual responses will not be published or shared in an identifiable form.
Free-text comments may inform future research directions but will not be quoted publicly without explicit permission.
Survey responses will be retained for one year, after which they will be deleted or anonymized. At the end of each survey, a unique reference ID is displayed. If you saved your reference ID and would like your response removed, email contact@brandonlscott.com with the reference ID and your response will be deleted. Without a reference ID, identifying a specific individual response may not be possible due to the anonymous nature of the survey.
Analytics and technical information
This site uses Google Analytics to understand general usage patterns — such as which pages are visited and how visitors navigate the site. Google Analytics may collect information including page views, approximate geographic location derived from your IP address, browser type, device type, and referring URLs. This data is processed by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Standard server access logs may also record IP addresses, request timestamps, and browser user-agent strings as part of normal web hosting operations. These logs are used for security and operational monitoring and are not used to identify or track individual visitors.
This site does not set any tracking cookies directly. Cookies may be set by Google Analytics as part of its measurement functionality.
Contact form
If you submit a message through the contact form, the name, email address, and message you provide are used solely to respond to your inquiry. That information is not shared with third parties or used for any other purpose.
